Use Our Simple Templates

Many residents have contacted us saying they are finding the Local Plan consultation extremely difficult to navigate. The Council has released over 100 technical documents very late in the process, and people are understandably overwhelmed.

To make sure no one is excluded or silenced, our CEG Community Action Group has created a simple Standard Letter and a Tick-Box Checklist that anyone can use to submit a clear, valid response. These allow people to respond quickly and confidently, without having to work through hundreds of pages of evidence.

Please consider doing the following:

  1. Complete the letter and checklist yourself – it only takes a few minutes.

  2. Print copies for family, neighbours, friends and colleagues.  No minimum age for children

  3. Share with any clubs, societies, workplaces or community groups you belong to.

  4. Collect completed copies and post or email them in batches or drop off with a CEG member if easier.

  5. If you would like a printed copy, please email us at savegandegreenbelt@gmail.com

  6. This must be actioned by 5pm on Thursday 11 December 2025.

Completed responses can be returned in any of the following ways:

  • Email directly to: sheffieldplan@sheffield.gov.uk

  • Post to: Strategic Planning, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield S1 2SH

  • We also have drop off points where your letter will be collected and delivered by hand to Sheffield City Council before the deadline.

    • 10:30 am - 12noon, Thursday 04 December @ Grenoside Community Centre
