Brownfield Counts
📝 How to Take Part in
Brownfield Counts
Across Sheffield, disused buildings, empty plots, and neglected sites sit ready for regeneration, while our greenbelt faces permanent loss.
This form helps us build a community record of brownfield land that could be used instead.
Whether it’s a vacant lot, derelict building, or overgrown industrial site – if you know about it, it Counts.
Share what you’ve seen. Let’s show there’s a better option.
Here’s how to get started:
-
Choose a location
Pick a disused or underused site in Chapeltown, Ecclesfield, or Grenoside. This could be vacant land, an abandoned building, or an overgrown lot. Take photos if you can.
-
Submit your results using the online form
You’ll find a link to the form below. -
Repeat as often as you can, and you can submit multiple forms
The more data we collect, the stronger our case will be. -
Be honest and accurate
Record what you see to the best of your ability. Please don’t guess or exaggerate; this data could be used in formal planning responses. -
Add any useful notes
You can include comments about the site’s condition, any previous use you’re aware of, whether it appears accessible or fenced off, and anything else that helps us understand its potential for development.
