Newsletter - 19th June 2025

Updated: Jun 20

This week's update:

As you will see from the homepage, this website now covers the Green Belt campaign for Chapeltown, Ecclesfield and Grenoside in an attempt to unite our local area in relation to this proposal.

Both the Chapeltown Group and the Grenoside and Ecclesfield Group still have their own contact email addresses and Facebook pages if you wish to get in touch directly.

Grenoside and Ecclesfield

A big thank you to everybody who has been out delivering leaflets this week. We have nearly covered all of Grenoside and have made a good start on Ecclesfield too. More of Ecclesfield is due to be covered in the coming days.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please contact us on savegandegreenbelt@gmail.com

We also have a collection of A3 posters to display in prominent local locations. If you know of a prominent location that would benefit from a poster, please let us know.

Chapeltown

A big thank you to the volunteers in Chapeltown who have delivered nearly 9000 leaflets within their local area. If you would like to contact them, please email: savechapeltowngreenbelt@gmail.com

Upcoming events:

You asked, so we listened! We have organised a protest on Saturday 28th June (10am to 12 noon)

More details will be released shortly once we have finalised a route.

However, WE NEED YOU!

If you are a qualified First Aider and are available on Saturday 28th June between 9.30am and 12.30am, please get in touch with us: savegandegreenbelt@gmail.com

You must be available for the whole time slot, and have proof of your qualification. We need a minimum of two first aiders for the protest to go ahead.

Fundraising:

We have nearly finalised our bank account, meaning that fundraising will be happening imminently!

The link to our donations page is: https://www.saveourgreenbelt.net/donations

We expect this page to be live by the end of this week.
